IRA International Journal of Education and Multidisciplinary Studies is a peer-reviewed quarterly publication reviewing and publishing the original scholarly research on the discipline of Education and Allied Studies.
The journal regularly reviews the works on education, pedagogy, language teaching, instructional methodologies, educational psychology, educational foundations, learning management, and allied studies.
Content Availability & Frequency
The journal is published online and the published content of the journal is available free of charge under open access mandate of the journal.
The journal’s issue is completed on every 10th of the month following the completion of the quarter for the articles accepted in and throughout the completed quarter. The journal’s issue remains ‘in-press’ till the date of its completion.
Peer Review Policy
The journal is a double-blind peer-reviewed publication. Every possible step is taken to ensure the anonymity of the authors and reviewers to each other in order to establish transparency and quality review in respect of the submitted articles and papers.
Every submitted article is reviewed by at least two reviewers having the subject expertise on the domain subject of the submitted article. The reviewers do ensure at all times that only original, evidence-based scholarly works get published in the journal. Un-original and poor-quality articles are not accepted for publication in the journal.
Policy on Plagiarism
For establishing the originality of the submitted manuscripts, the plagiarism software is used to know the originality of the manuscript. In the case of plagiarism or un-originality is detected or suspected, action on account of misconduct will be taken by the journal against the plagiarizing authors. This may include approaching the third parties including their affiliating institutions and other research organizations.
The submitted plagiarized manuscript may also be shared with the original authors or third parties for high-lighting the misconduct by plagiarizing authors.
Policy on Scholarly Misconduct
As an institutional reviewer and publisher of scholarly works, the journal at all times maintains a high degree of discipline amongst its editors, reviewers, authors, and staff.
If any misconduct by way of non-adherence to the editorial policies or guidelines or any conflict of interest is suspected, necessary action is warranted against the defaulting editor, reviewer, author, or the editorial staff as per COPE policies.
Based on the gravity of the misconduct, an investigation may be undertaken by the journal against the misconducting party which may include approaching and complaining to the affiliating institutions of the editors, reviewers, and authors.
Policy on Article Processing Charge
We strongly prohibit 'pay to publish' practice. We do not accept fees in whatsoever form before an article is peer-reviewed and the same is accepted for its publication. There is an Article Processing Charge in respect of every reviewed & accepted article. If the paper is accepted for publication, the authors will be asked to pay an Article Processing Charge to support the publications in meeting up with the costs of publishing, costs of infrastructure both the human as well as technical overheads.
To not discourage quality works from getting published and promoted, we have kept APC to the minimum possible level, the minimum we need to keep our efforts of reviewing and publishing the scholarly research.
In case, the accepted articles have the single author as authorship, USD 50 is payable as Article Processing Charge. In the case of Multi-authorship, the same is USD 70.
Please take note that the Article Processing Charge is payable only if the article is reviewed and accepted for publication. There is no article submission fee in whatsoever form at the time of submission of a manuscript.
Statement on Publication Ethics
The journal voluntarily adheres to the ethics policies and guidelines for publishers, editors, and reviewers frameworked by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
The editors and the reviewers of the journal at all times are subject to the COPE policies & guidelines while undertaking editing and review in respect of submitted manuscripts to the journal.
The publishers of the journal adhere to and follow the Code of Conduct as enlisted and proposed by COPE. The journal requires its editors and authors to adhere to the international standards for editors and authors as far as a submission to the journal is concerned.
Copyright & Archiving Policy
The copyright in respect of the published research works vests in favour of the Institute of Research Advances except for the cases where the authorship is specifically authorized to retain the same.The journal also allows its authors to retain copyright to their favour provided they specify this while submitting their manuscripts for review.
Authors are generally allowed to share their published works subject to the condition that the original published copy is shared and the link to the primary publication is mentioned while sharing the published works of the journal. The copyright statement is also required to be mentioned while sharing the published works.
The papers presented in conferences/seminars are also ineligible submissions if the same has previously been peer-reviewed and published (i.e. the copyright to such proceedings if are with either the event organizer or the publisher).
Call for Papers
The journal invites original works on the discipline, themes, and sub-themes of the subject of Education & Allied Studies. The journal accepts original research papers, quality review papers, case studies, and empirical findings on the scope of its focus.
For detailed instruction regarding the recommended structure of the manuscript, the authors are recommended to use IRA Paper Template to format their manuscripts while submitting the same to the journal for a review and possible publication.
The authors while submitting their manuscripts for review also need to submit a Covering-cum-Declaration Letter to the journal’s editorial office. The authors need to submit their manuscripts online at Online Manuscript Submission
Peer Review Program
The journal seeks to empanel reviewers on the scope-subjects of the journal to review manuscripts. The minimum eligibility to be empanelled as a reviewer to the journal is having a PhD in the related subject and prior experience of reviewing manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications.
